Taiwanese Apple supplier Foxconn wants to produce EV under the brand name Foxtron. The company has already unveiled three prototypes designed in Italy. As with iPhones, the cars are to be produced for other manufacturers; there is already a joint venture with European manufacturer Stellantis (Chrysler, Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat). And these ambitious plans could very well work out thanks to the group's technical know-how and financial resources.

Der chinesische Automobilhersteller Geely hat seine schwedische Tochter Volvo erfolgreich an die Stockholmer Börse gebracht. Das Kapital soll in den geplanten Umbau der Marke fließen. Denn Geely-Chef Li Shufu will mit Volvo künftig den Markt für E-Autos angreifen. Zudem will sich das Unternehmen an die Spitze einer Bewegung hin zu neuer Mobilität setzen. Chinese carmaker Geely has successfully brought its Swedish subsidiary Volvo on the Stockholm stock exchange. The capital is to flow into the planned restructuring of the brand because Geely's boss, Li Shufu, plans to attack the EV market with Volvo at the helm. The company also wants to be at the forefront of a shift towards new mobility. Another goal is to build an Android-style car ecosystem.
