IAA for trucks: technology for carbon-free power units in the running

In the transformation process to carbon-free power units, commercial vehicles are about five years behind passenger cars. From Tuesday, the industry will present what products it has in the pipeline at the IAA. In contrast to passenger cars, several technologies are in the running for decarbonization.

At the end of November, the Commission will present its proposal for carbon fleet regulation for trucks. Certainly, fossil fuel consumption will have to fall drastically for commercial vehicles starting in 2030. Likely, the Commission will also propose an end date for internal combustion trucks. 2040 is under discussion.
