For the first time in the history of the European Parliament, the resolution on the discharge of the 2023 budget failed in committee. The resolution will now also not be presented to the plenary. Wegen eines Beitrags auf X will die Staatsanwaltschaft gegen den AfD-Abgeordneten Petr Bystron ermitteln. Der Rechtsausschuss des Europäischen Parlaments hat deswegen beschlossen, dessen Immunität aufzuheben. Das Plenum muss die Entscheidung noch bestätigen.
