Tobacco Tax Directive: Commission could sharply raise minimum rates

As part of its proposal for the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), the European Commission also plans to revise the Tobacco Excise Directive (TED). The goal is to impose minimum tax rates on all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and novel smoking alternatives.
