Auch in China gibt es kaum ein politisches Thema, das so emotional diskutiert wird, wie die hohen Wohnungs- und Mietpreise. Der neue Fünfjahresplan nimmt sich dem Thema an und verspricht mehr günstigen Wohnraum. Dass trotz rasant gestiegener Preise bald eine Blase platzt, gilt als unwahrscheinlich. Peking sorgt sich zu sehr, dass es dann zu sozialen Unruhen kommen könnte.

There are many indications of a new technology giant emerging in China. The merger of two giant state-owned enterprises is expected to reduce dependence on the US, Japan and Taiwan for chips, surveillance and military technology.
