With its proposal, it intends to standardize charging cable connections as a first step. After that, the authority also wants to standardize the charging devices.

Die Europäische Kommission ist mit über zehn Jahren Verspätung ihrem Versprechen einheitlicher Ladetechnologie für mobile Geräte ein gutes Stück nähergekommen. Mit ihrem Vorschlag will sie zunächst Ladekabel-Anschlüsse vereinheitlichen. In einem zweiten Schritt will die Behörde dann auch die Ladegeräte standardisieren.
