Finance Watch: Insufficient private capital for climate investments

Even in a highly integrated capital market, private capital will not be able to provide more than a third of the climate investments needed in the EU. This is according to a new report by Finance Watch, which argues that public capital is needed on a large scale. Monetary financing should be part of the solution.

Eurogroup calls for further fiscal consolidation for 2025

At the Eurogroup meeting in Brussels, the finance ministers of the eurozone countries agreed that government budgets should be consolidated and deficits reduced in the coming year. At the same time, however, investments should also increase.
