Weniger als eine Woche nach dem Scheitern des Pakets im Plenum haben EVP, S D und Renew einen Kompromiss vereinbart. Mit dem Einführen des Grenzausgleichs soll die Zuteilung kostenloser Zertifikate nun ab 2027 gekürzt werden und Ende 2032 abgeschlossen sein.

Less than a week after the package failed in plenary, EPP, S D, and Renew have agreed on a compromise. With the introduction of border adjustment, the allocation of free allowances is now to be reduced from 2027 and completed by the end of 2032.
