China lässt die Subventionen für Elektrofahrzeuge (NEV) auslaufen. Das Ministerium für Industrie und Informationstechnologie (MIIT) will die NEV-Subventionen für 2022 zunächst um weitere 30 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahr kürzen. Ende des Jahres sollen sie dann vollständig abgeschafft werden. Als Reaktion passen ausländische und chinesische Automobilhersteller bereits ihre Preisstrategie an — sie verfolgen dabei allerdings unterschiedliche Ansätze.

The recent Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) report on settlement of NEV subsidies (2019-2020) for each automotive manufacturer reaffirms the trend of subsidy reductions.
