She expects a turbulent decade marked by conflicts between ambitious climate activists and those "who do not want any interference". She advises the IPCC to put more focus on solutions.

Auch in Deutschland gebe es eine Tendenz zur Besitzstandswahrung in Teilen der Regierung, kritisiert die ehemalige IPCC-Leitautorin. Sie erwartet eine turbulente Dekade mit Konflikten zwischen ehrgeizigen Klimaschützern und denen, "die sich nicht reinreden lassen wollen". Dem IPCC rät sie, stärker auf Lösungen zu fokussieren.

Following a week-long meeting in Interlaken, Switzerland, delegations from the scientific community and governments agreed on the Synthesis Report of the 6th Assessment Report (AR6).
