Euro strength: How the EU could take action against Chinese currency manipulation

The euro’s sharp appreciation is putting the EU's trade policy to the test. Owing to legal uncertainties, the EU Commission has so far refrained from taking action against currency manipulation by China, despite a highly imbalanced trade balance.
