A total of 16 large and medium-sized reservoirs have seen water levels rise above the alert level after torrential rains battered most parts of the province on Monday and Tuesday. China weiß nicht erst seit der Katastrophe in der Provinz Henan, dass große Teile des Landes anfällig für Überschwemmungen sind. Lange versuchte die Regierung, den Naturgewalten ausschließlich mit gewaltigen Talsperren und Deichen Herr zu werden.
