Sylvie Goulard

Sylvie Goulard is a voice with weight on the European stage. For the past year, the liberal and Germanophile Frenchwoman has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Munich Security Conference. Her appointment was a deliberate sign of the revival of the Franco-German engine in Europe. As a member of the European Parliament, she was already helping to shape the debates on a stronger political and strategic union as a vanguard. Later, as Deputy Governor of the Banque de France, she helped to develop the European financial and integration architecture. A close confidante of Emmanuel Macron, she briefly sat in his cabinet as French Minister of Defense.
