Sven Egenter

Sven Egenter is a journalist, economist and managing director of the foundation-funded 2050 Media Projekt gGmbH. He is responsible for the Clean Energy Wire (CLEW) and Klimafakten media projects, which have a journalistic focus on energy and climate issues, counter disinformation and connect journalists working on energy and climate issues with each other and with experts. Before launching CLEW in 2014, Egenter spent twelve years reporting on the economic situation in Germany, the UK and Switzerland, central banks and financial markets for the Reuters news agency. In addition to his work as a journalist, he is also active as a media consultant, for example as a lecturer for an online workshop in which local journalists deal with climate reporting at a local level.
