Philippa Sigl-Glöckner founded the Future Department in 2018. In her work, she primarily focuses on financial policy, including the German debt brake mechanism. This is why Sigl-Glöckner has become a relevant voice in the security scene this year. The card-carrying SPD member studied philosophy, politics and economics at the University of Oxford and computer science at Imperial College in London. Before founding her think tank, she worked for the German Federal Ministry of Finance and the World Bank, among others.
