Julia Duchrow

She holds a doctorate in law and has been Secretary General of the German section of Amnesty International since 2023. She had previously headed the Policy and Activism Department there for four years and was Deputy Secretary General. After her time as a trainee lawyer at the Berlin Court of Appeal, she worked for the human rights organization for ten years – as an asylum officer. In 2011, she then became Head of the Human Rights and Peace Department at the NGO "Bread for the World" before returning to Amnesty in 2019.
