Gundbert Scherf

Few are currently shaking up the traditional defense industry like Gundbert Scherf and his AI start-up Helsing. Scherf was previously a partner at the management consultancy McKinsey, where he was responsible for the aerospace and defense sector and parts of the technology sector. He is bringing these together in his software company founded in 2021, which specializes in the defense industry, and is thus hitting a nerve in the sector. Scherf will network the Munich-based start-up more closely with European partners in order to realize the large-scale projects he has announced. He himself is considered a proven European, having studied not only in Berlin, but also in London, at the elite Cambridge University and in Paris at Sciences Po.
