Glacier Chung Ching Kwong, known as one of the faces of Hong Kong’s 2019 protest movement, is an activist for digital rights and democracy. Together with fellow Hong Kong activist Joshua Wong, she advocated for international support at venues such as Berlin’s Humboldt University and the federal press conference. Kwong now works in the secretariat of the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China as a senior analyst focusing on surveillance and digital resistance. As the founder and spokesperson of the Hong Kong internet rights group Keyboard Frontline, she became involved early on in issues of online censorship and privacy. She has lived in exile in Hamburg since 2018 and is pursuing a doctorate in law at the University of Hamburg with a focus on data protection.
