Brigitte Knopf

Brigitte Knopf is working on a socially just climate policy. To this end, she founded the think tank Zukunft KlimaSozial at the beginning of 2024 with the aim of thinking about climate and social policy together “from the outset” and developing new solutions. Previously, the doctor of physics and climate scientist was a member of the German Expert Council for Climate Issues, Secretary General of the MCC research institute and Deputy Head of the Sustainable Solutions Strategies research division at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. Knopf is not only interested in the technical feasibility but also in the social dimension of the green transition.
