Alicia García-Herrero is among the leading China experts in the international consulting world. As chief economist for the Asia–Pacific region at Natixis and a senior fellow at the Bruegel think tank, she has for years analyzed China’s economic, geopolitical and financial developments with exceptional depth. Her assessments are highly sought after by multinational companies as well as political decision-makers when it comes to shaping strategies for dealing with China. She studied economics in Spain and earned her PhD at George Washington University before holding senior positions at the ECB, the IMF and in the private sector.
