Difu: Municipalities take care of climate action

Many cities and municipalities want to be more climate-neutral than the federal government. A survey shows that 72% have a climate action concept and 87% have full-time climate action officers. However, the Association of Cities and Towns is calling for more money from the federal and state governments.

Denmark hosts the EU Environment Council in Aalborg this week. They plan to present their recently adopted carbon price for emissions from livestock. In an interview with Table.Briefings, Jeppe Bruus, Denmark’s Minister for Green Transition, says the world’s first agricultural emissions trading system is intended to serve as a blueprint for Europe.
