NGT: Union MEPs call for clarification on the patent issue
Before a decision is made on the deregulation of new breeding techniques, MEPs from the European People’s Party are calling on the European Commission to provide assurances. They want the Commission to commit to taking steps to protect farmers and small-scale breeders from patents.
