Die indische Regierung hat jetzt offiziell anerkannt, dass Märkte für Kohlenstoff und ein Emissionshandel eine wichtige Rolle bei der Dekarbonisierung spielen sollen. Ein Gesetz dazu soll Ende des Jahres verabschiedet werden. Noch sind viele Details unklar, doch beginnen könnte der Handel ab Mitte 2023.

The Indian government has now officially recognized that carbon markets and emissions trading are to play an important role in decarbonization. A law to this effect is to be passed at the end of the year. Many details are still unclear, but trading could begin from mid-2023.
