ETS: Economic Council aims for system change.

The CDU-affiliated Economic Council of Germany is calling for companies to be allowed to keep money for the purchase of CO2 certificates. Each company should use this money to finance its own climate action measures. Any shortfall in revenue for public budgets should be offset by others.

Huawei: Suspicion of corruption in the European Parliament.

One arrest, two sealed offices of APAs in the European Parliament, and raids in Belgium and Portugal: The Belgian public prosecutor's office is investigating suspected corruption by the Chinese mobile communications giant Huawei. They allegedly have 15 active and former MEPs on their radar.
