WIFO study: Economist Felbermayr proposes fundamental reform of EU agricultural policy

In a study, the new economic advisor Gabriel Felbermayr criticizes EU agricultural policy as inadequate for achieving environmental and climate goals. Economists at his WIFO institute are calling for a market-oriented overhaul with less bureaucracy and a greater emphasis on the polluter-pays principle.
