Green Deal: Belgian Council Presidency to finalize only two dossiers

The upcoming Belgian Council Presidency apparently sees little chance of passing all remaining laws from the Green Deal before the EU elections in June. Dossiers on the circular economy and environmental quality are apparently on the back burner.

Council agrees on gutted Euro 7 proposal

In the Competitiveness Council, the Spanish Council Presidency has quietly succeeded in reaching a general agreement on the Euro 7 emissions standard. The limits for passenger cars are not to be tightened at all, while the limits for commercial vehicles are to be tightened only slightly. E-fuels were not included.
