18th sanctions package: Slovakia delays agreement

Slovakia blocked an agreement on the EU’s 18th sanctions package against Russia during the Foreign Affairs Council on Tuesday. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas expressed hope that a deal could still be reached this week. The foreign ministers also discussed Kallas’ options paper regarding the EU-Israel Association Agreement.
