UNFCCC budget: Bloomberg Philanthropies fills gap after US withdrawal

The Bloomberg Philanthropies Foundation will fill the gap in the UN Climate Change Secretariat’s core budget, UNFCCC head Simon Stiell has announced. Following the withdrawal of the USA and the poor payment discipline of many countries, large gaps have recently opened up in the budget.
