Energy: IEA chief warns Europe against returning to Russian gas

The director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Fatih Birol, has warned the EU against abandoning its ban on Russian energy imports from 2028.

IEA forecast: 1.5-degree target still achievable with significantly higher investment

The World Energy Outlook 2025 shows that the world is currently heading towards a warming of 2.5 degrees despite rapid growth in renewables. In order to limit the increase to 1.5 degrees, investments would have to be doubled.
