Rare earths: Further uncertainties about export licenses.

China claims to have recently approved "a certain number" of applications for export licenses for rare earths. The approval process for compliant applications will be further strengthened, it says. However, details remain unclear.

Transport emissions: German automaker association rejects criticism of 10-point plan.

The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) considers the massive criticism of its 10-point plan to soften EU emissions standards to be unjustified. With a higher proportion of e-fuels and biofuels, the climate targets in the transport sector could still be achieved. However, it remains unclear where the needed quantities will come from.
