Fossil energies: Crisis subsidies are slow to fall

The EU Commission recommends that member states reduce fossil fuel subsidies in the next financial year in order to finance reductions in electricity prices.

Climate-damaging subsidies: Federal Court of Auditors rebukes the federal government

The German Federal Court of Auditors criticizes the German goverment’s 30th Subsidy Report. While billions in tax concessions remain in place every year, reforms are lacking and there is still no definition of the term “climate-damaging subsidy.”
