The German Climate Consortium (DKK) warns against exceeding the 1.5-degree target and warns that the likelihood of missing the target in the coming years must be communicated openly. The continued high level of investment in fossil fuels and climate-damaging subsidies mean that net-zero emissions are a long way off.
