Heating: How the biogas obligation makes gas heating systems more expensive

An increasing number of utility providers are offering biogas tariffs, which are a prerequisite for installing new gas heating systems. However, they are more than 30 percent more expensive than standard gas contracts – making gas heating even less economically attractive.
