Little chance of a deal on fiscal rules this year

Brexit: duties on EVs postponed by three years

The Commission wants to postpone customs duties on EVs traded between the UK and the EU by three years. The rules of origin from the post-Brexit free trade agreement provide for customs duties if less than 45% of the value added occurs in the region.

Report: CCS could leave more emissions than expected

The large-scale use of CCS technologies would not reduce emissions as much as hoped. This is shown by calculations from Climate Analytics. The reason: CCS technology captures far fewer greenhouse gases than is often assumed.
