National agricultural subsidies: EU Commission considers Özdemir's demand for more leeway

To support farmers, German Agriculture Minister Cem Özdemir is calling for the EU rules on national subsidies to be relaxed. He has found a sympathetic ear with the European Commission – but not with all EU countries.
