Ekaterina Zakharieva – Research Commissioner with links to Germany

The Bulgarian Ekaterina Zakharieva is to become the new EU Commissioner for Research. Despite her wide-ranging experience, the hearing in the EU Parliament is unlikely to be a walk in the park. But even after that, she will be faced with difficult tasks.
