Nitrous oxide: Atmospheric breakdown faster than previously estimated

A new study published in the journal PNAS finds that nitrous oxide (N₂O) degrades in the atmosphere faster than previously assumed. However, rising N₂O emissions are offsetting this effect, and the rate of degradation is likely to slow again in the future.
