IPCC: What dropping the most extreme scenario means

An international modeling project has ruled out the most pessimistic climate scenario as implausible. This is not because earlier forecasts were inaccurate, as Donald Trump suggests, but because of progress in climate policy and breakthroughs in renewable energy.
