Germany: How the climate crisis destroys domestic harvests

Chaotic weather conditions significantly impact cereals, rapeseed, potatoes, as well as fruit and wine growing this year. This is the assessment of the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture in the preliminary harvest report 2024. On Wednesday, Agriculture Minister Cem Özdemir emphasized the need to adapt agriculture to climate change.
