Direct Air Capture: How China wants to close the technology gap

China has successfully tested its own large-scale plant for filtering CO2 from the atmosphere for the first time. The so-called CarbonBox is said to be able to filter 600 tons of the greenhouse gas from the air every year. China is not yet one of the market leaders in this new technology.
