Climate Citizens’ Councils: Politicians fail to implement “high-quality“ proposals

The 57 citizens’ councils across Germany on laws and decisions have only had a marginal direct impact, according to a study commissioned by the New Generation climate movement. They have remained “friendly, moderated fig leaves of democracy“.
