Russia's unambitious climate target: More room for oil and gas

Russia's new climate target lacks ambition. Emissions today are already much lower than the target aims for. Experts criticize that it cements the path toward expanding fossil fuel production. The war in Ukraine has destroyed the first positive steps in climate policy.
