Global renewables target: Three times or five times as much as today?

The debates about a global target for the expansion of renewables are taking shape. COP28 President Al Jaber and the EU Commission are already in agreement: A decision to triple capacities by 2030 is supposed to be made in Dubai. NGOs and think tanks are calling for more ambitious targets.
