EU climate target 2040: Countries agree on 5% international certificates

The EU environment ministers want to make the climate targets for 2040 more flexible. On Wednesday night, they agreed on a target of a 90% reduction in greenhouse gases, whereby up to five percentage points can be achieved in other European countries.
