The Fit-for-55 package for the EU Climate Goal 2030 is now law, and the debate on the Climate Goal 2040 has already begun. A highly controversial issue is the amount of CO2 removal that should be credited in the Emissions Trading System (ETS). Could these plans endanger the entire system?
