China lobbying in Brussels: BYD applies for ACEA membership

Chinese carmaker BYD wants to join the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association, or ACEA. In doing so, the company is pushing its globalization not just commercially, but politically as well – and could gain influence over economic policy decisions.
