Nuclear weapons: China rejects disarmament negotiations for the time being

China refuses to participate in nuclear disarmament negotiations as long as its nuclear arsenal is not comparable to that of the USA and Russia. However, following the expiry of the US-Russian arms control treaty New START, Beijing is calling on Washington to hold new talks on strategic stability.
