Authorities arrest over a thousand Tibetans in anti-dam protests

Thousands of Tibetans have been protesting against the construction of a dam in Sichuan since mid-February. Eyewitnesses report that the police have been brutally suppressing the protests. Over 1000 individuals have already been arrested.
