Tsinghua scientists celebrate chip breakthrough

Scientists at Tsinghua University have developed a new type of AI chip that calculates with light particles and will be far superior to conventional semiconductors. However, it is unclear when it will go into mass production. In the meantime, The US is tightening export restrictions.
