Werne, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland - Verdichterstation fuer Erdgas und zukünftig auch Wasserstoff. Open Grid Europe wird mit seiner H2-Trainigsstrecke zukünftig Ingenieure und Handwerker zu Experten im Umgang mit Wasserstoff im Ferngasnetz schulen. Die OGE-Verdichterstation in Werne ist die zentrale Drehscheibe im deutschen Erdgasnetz. Mit rund 25 Milliarden Kubikmeter jaehrlich fliesst rund ein Viertel des in Deutschland verbrauchten Erdgases durch die Verdichterstation Werne. Ueber fuenf grosse Eingangsleitungen stroemt das Erdgas aus Norddeutschland, der Nordsee und den Niederlanden in die Station. Nach der Reinigung des Gases erfolgt dessen Verdichtung ueber elf Kompressoren, angetrieben durch Gasturbinen mit einer Gesamtantriebs

€4.8 billion for hydrogen and decarbonization
